The Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) is an independent authority and highest decision-making body on all matters relating to tourism and its management in Bhutan. It regulates all tourism related activities in Bhutan. All the Bhutanese travel agencies & Bhutanese tour operators are registered with them, and they also fix the daily Bhutan tour prices and Bhutan Tourist Taxes or Bhutan Government Royalty.

1. Transfer only 20% of the Bhutan Tour Cost together with the whole Drukair fare ( if flying to Bhutan by Drukair) soon after you have confirmed your Bhutan travel schedules and then transfer the rest of the amount together with your visa processing fee of US$ 20/person 3 weeks before your actual Bhutan travel date

2. Transfer your entire Bhutan tour cost together with your visa processing fee and Drukair fare ( if flying by Drukair to Bhutan) at once as soo Bhutan Tourist visa processing is approved by Tourism Council of Bhutan only after you have confirmed your Bhutan tour schedules.

For high season travel (March, April, May,Sept, Oct & Nov), it is advisable to remit payment for Druk Air flights at least 3 months in advance. This will help us to obtain confirmed seats on the requested flights.

We will provide you full information on your Bhutan tour cost as per the duration,number of people travelling,etc.

Daily Tour Rate during the High Season-March, April, May, September, October and November:

  • For a group of 3 persons or above, the minimum tour price US$ 250 per night per person
  • For a group of 2 persons, the minimum  tour cost is US$ 280 per night per person (daily tariff US $ 250 +surcharge US $ 30)
  • For a lone traveler, the tour rate is US $ 290 per night per person (daily tariff US $ 250 +surcharge US $ 40)

Daily Tour Prices during the Low season- January, February, June, July, August and December:

  • For a group of 3 persons or above, the tour cost is US$200 per night per person.
  • For a group of 2 persons, the tour price is US$230 per night per person which is inclusive of surcharge of US$ 30 per night per person.
  • For a single traveler, the tour rate is US$240 per night per person which is inclusive of surcharge of US$40 per night per person.

The above tour cost is inclusive of the following:

  • Bhutan Government Royalty of US$65 per night per person
  • Twin sharing hotel Rooms at 3 star hotels
  • All Meals at 3 star hotels
  • English speaking tour guides
  • Refreshments (tea,coffee and snacks)
  • All transfers and sightseeing/treks/tours within Bhutan
  • Riding ponies and pack animals on treks
  • Trekking equipment and haulage for trekking tours
  • All entrance fees to museums and monuments
  • All internal taxes and charges
  • Mineral drinking water

The rates given above are applicable per tourist per night halt in Bhutan. On the day of departure, the local Bhutan tour operators / Bhutan travel agents' obligation shall be limited to breakfast only.

The following is not included in the daily tourist tariff:

  • Visa fee US $40 each (must be paid in advance with tour cost).
  • Airfares (optional)
  • Travel insurance (recommended but not available in Bhutan)
  • Single Room supplements US$ 40 per room per night  (optional)
  • Other personal expenses, calls overseas, laundary, etc.

Discount on Tour Prices:

  • There shall be no charge for CHILDREN up to the age of 5 years. However, those between the age of 6 to 12 years accompanied by elders/guardians shall be given a 50% discount on daily rates.
  • Full time Students below the age of 25 years holding valid identity cards from their academic institutions shall also be given a 25% discount on daily rates
  • A discount of 50% on daily rates shall be given to one person in a group of 11 to 15 persons.
  • A 100% discount shall be given to one member in a group exceeding 16 persons.
  • A discount of US$32.5/person/night from 9th night and a discount of US$65/person/night from 15th night.


We reserve the right to modify or rescind these terms according to new changes by government in whole, or in part at any time with or without prior notice.

Day 1:Arrive Paro & Paro-Thimphu (Distance : 54 Km, estimated driving time :1 hr)
Arrive at Paro by Drukair flight, Royal Bhutan Airline. You will be welcomed by our representative who will be your tour guide during your entire tour in Bhutan. Drive to Thimphu and check into your hotel at Thimphu and after lunch visit the following:
The National Textile Museum which is a good place to see the art of traditional weaving being kept alive and preserved through exhibition and has a good collection of old textiles which are rich in colors and designs. You will also see people weaving with intricate designs. The folk heritage museum, an outdoor museum that gives an insight into rural life.
The School of Traditional Painting of Arts and Crafts where students undertake a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan.
Centenary Farmers’ market where farmers would be selling their wide range of farm produces (vegetables from farms and wild ferns or bamboo shoots collected from forest, flour, rice, roasted rice, rice flakes, spices, yams both cultivated and wild ones collected from forests, fruits, etc) and livestock products (mainly cheese and butter). Free interaction with people from town as well as from villages come to this weekend market. Weekend market is from Thursday-Sunday( 4 days).
Tashichhoe Dzong, a fortress of the glorious religion. It was built in 1641 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel and was reconstructed into present structure by the late King, His majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in the year 1962-1969.It houses the secretariat building, the throne room and the office of the king, and the central monk body.
Watch Archery match : Bhutan’s national game. Craft Bazaar where craftsmen and artisans from across the country display and sell their handicrafts. In the evening you may visit local handicraft stores. Overnight at a hotel in Thimphu.

Day 2: Thimphu-Paro & A Day Hike to Taktsang Ghoempa (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)
Distance: 54 km, estimated travel time: 1 hr
After breakfast, drive to Paro which takes about an hour and hike up to Taktsang Monastery, also known as ‘Tiger’s Nest’. The climb up to the viewpoint will take around 1 ½ hours and from there you will enjoy a spectacular view of the monastery clinging to the side of the cliff. Stop for refreshment at the View Point Cafeteria.Then walk further up to the monastery which will take about 1 hour. It is said that in the 8th century Guru Rinpoche flew on the back of a tigress from eastern Bhutan to this place and meditated in a cave here for 3 months. The principal Lhakhang (monastery) of the present monastic complex dates from 1692. Taktsang was damaged severely by fire in 1998 but has now been fully restored to its former glory.After visiting the monastery, walk back down to the road on the way stop for lunch at the view point cafeteria and then walk further down to the road point. Then drive back to hotel. On the way, visit Kichu temple,one of the 108 temples built in the 7th century by the Tibetan King Songsten Gampo. The story goes that a giant demon lay across the whole area of Tibet and the Himalayas and was preventing the spread of Buddhism. To overcome her, King Songtsen Gampo decided to build 108 temples, which would be placed on all the points of her body. Of these 108 temples, 12 were built in accordance with precise plans. Thus, it happened that in about the year AD 638 the temple of Jokhang in Lhasa was built over the very heart of the demon. The evening relax and overnight at a hotel in Paro.

Day 3: Paro - Departure
In the morning, your Bhutan tour guide will escort you to the airport for your onward destinations.
